MHFA TRAINING is practical and MAKES A DIFFERENCE

We learn physical first aid as standard practice as It gives us the tools to prevent a situation from becoming worse. In some situations, if a person doesn't receive basic first aid care immediately, their situation will often deteriorate rapidly. By being able to provide basic care, you can support a person until emergency medical services arrive.

Gaining Mental Health First Aid Skills

Having mental health first aid skills means that you can assist someone developing a mental health problem or experiencing a mental health crisis and make a real difference to your community.

If we do nothing, nothing can change

Without training, many people lack the knowledge, skills, and confidence to support a friend, family member or co-worker experiencing a mental health problem, including how to approach someone and start a safe conversation.

What we do now

For most of us, trying to find the right words to say, or know where to start, even getting past not wanting to intrude creates the barriers to helping someone.

By attending this course yourself, and encouraging others, we as a community will have the confidence to have the conversation, to know what to do and to be able to help someone in need.
